GCC has a longstanding relationship with the Applewood Towers Retirement Community located in Lawrenceville. Every week, GCC busses residents to and from Applewood to our building for worship services. We also facilitate bi-monthly shopping trips for those living at Applewood who are unable to get out on their own.
The GCC family is involved in many different community outreach events throughout the year. Each year we host the community for the Community Fair, Easter Egg Hunt, Trunk or Treat, Blood Drive, and Fall Bonfire & Hayride.
At GCC we value not only hearing the word of God but also applying it in our daily lives. Our connection groups are specifically designed to give people a forum to discuss scripture with one another for the purposes of integrating the Bible into the way we live Monday through Saturday. Connection groups last about an hour, feature a series of discussion questions, and end with a time of us praying for each other.
Currently numerous Ghanaian families call GCC home, and we are committed to ministering not only to them but also the other people within our community who came to Gwinnett from outside of the United States.
The Gwinnett Church of Christ is the sponsor for Cub Scout Pack 510. It is the belief of the church leadership that Scouting offers a great opportunity for young boys to learn important lessons in character and integrity as they grow to manhood. By sponsoring Scouting units, the church also has the opportunity to work closely with families in our community and provide Godly mentors for both Scouts and parents. Pack 510 recruits primarily from Woodward Mill Elementary School, but all families with boys from 1st to 5th grade are invited to join us.
The ladies of GCC offer numerous opportunities for the women of our church family to fellowship, study, and pray for each other. Monthly Ladies Night Out activities, midweek Bible studies, parties and game nights all work to bring the women of GCC closer to each other, and ultimately closer to God.
